Located in the GARFAGNANA mountains near Lucca in Tuscany, COTTAGE GIUSI is available for self catering holiday accommodation throughout the year and can be rented on a weekly basis for up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. On request, the property is also available in combination with RUSTICO SARA for up to 14 guests.
COTTAGE GIUSI is located at Molazzana in GARFAGNANA, the valley of the the Serchio river, in a scenic position on the summit of a hill about 650 metres above sea level. The house can accommodate four guests in two separate bedrooms - one double room with panoramic balcony and one twin bedroom - and is the perfect choice for families or small groups wishing to enjoy a pleasant holiday surrounded by the green of nature. Larger parties may book further rooms in the nearby RUSTICO SARA, for up to 14 guests depending on availability. Surrounded by green hills, COTTAGE GIUSI and the nearby Rustico Sara offer stunning views of the Serchio valley below in an unsurpassed scenery surrounded by mountains, hills and valleys dotted with a picturesque mosaic of Medieval villages with typical stone houses, old parish churches and bell towers. COTTAGE GIUSI has a well-kept garden commanding majestic panoramas and a lovely gatzebo for your romantic dinners under a starry sky. In 2006 the estate has been equipped with a private SWIMMING-POOL for the sun use of the guests of COTTAGE GIUSI and of the nearby RUSTICO SARA B&B. The rental of COTTAGE GIUSI is available on a weekly basis throughout the year and also allows guests to safely park their cars in an outdoor private space. Recently renovated throughout, Cottage Giusy pleasantly shows the ancient origin of the building. Floored with 'cotto' tiles and roofed with wooden beams, this traditional stone cottage provides a old-age yet refined look-and-feel in every detail. COTTAGE GIUSI is located on two levels joined by a winding staircase. On the ground floor there is a large hall with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen (with dish-washer, electric oven, microwave, fridge, etc.) and a bathroom with shower; the upper floor comprises two bedrooms, one double and one twin.
COTTAGE GIUSI has just undergone extensive restoration: the interior was completely renovated and redecorated to enhance the old country-style finishings such as the traditional terracotta-tile and the impressive beamed ceilings in local chestnut wood.
The balcony which we added to the double room provides breathtaking scenic views, while the bright kitchen-sitting room was be fitted with large French windows overlooking the garden. The unit is also be equipped with new laundry facilities.
